چکیده
The paper highlights the results of anti-friction and anti-wear tests samples lubricating media containing a layered friction modifier - molybdenum diselenide. main variable test conditions are load on samples, volume concentration in oil, preliminary storage time composition before testing. evaluation criteria mass wear intensity, coefficient. Each eight cycles was implemented tribotechnical installation an original design using cylindrical contact type. resource indicators transferred from model to real tribological unit “ring-cylinder” marine diesel engine 6ChSP 18/22 were evaluated. According studies, effect increasing installation, pair alloyed gray cast iron, revealed, as result which annular movable sample increases, interface decreases 1.13-1.23 times. greatest influence is lubricant diselenide additive. It has been proven that deterioration properties (an increase average surface temperature segment force) largely affected by decrease additive oil. found out serious changes indicated estimated parameters valid for smallest loading step samples. General recommendations formulated use antiwear additives considered studies. proved storing compositions with possible period no longer than 3-4 days at given concentrations range 0.5-1.0%, since if this exceeded 25-40%, CPG may be halved increased its piston rings cylinder liners.

Nanoscale friction and wear maps.
Friction and wear are part and parcel of all walks of life, and for interfaces that are in close or near contact, tribology and mechanics are supremely important. They can critically influence the efficient functioning of devices and components. Nanoscale friction force follows a complex nonlinear dependence on multiple, often interdependent, interfacial and material properties. Various studies...
متن کاملModelling Friction and Abrasive Wear of Elastomers
In order to properly model the friction and wear of elastomer materials, it is essential to understand some specific mechanical and tribological features. Mechanical characteristics of elastomer materials are different from those of metals and other relatively hard materials. Elastomers can bear large deformations, the stress-strain curves are non-linear, time and temperature dependent. When th...

Many different instruments have been developed for the measurement of friction and wear.1-5 Often the instrument was designed to accommodate some particular type of material, environment, or test condition. Studies reported in the dental literature have been limited to wear measurements with simulated toothbrushing methods,6-9 or on prosthetic teeth mounted on an articulator.10 This study will ...
متن کاملFriction and wear of PTFE - a review
Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) is an important engineering material. When rubbed or slid against a hard surface, PTFE exhibits a low coefficient of friction but a high rate of wear. These unique properties of the polymer have encouraged many mechanistic and physical examinations of the processes involved in the friction and wear of this polymer. A section of such work carried out over the past ...
متن کاملEditorial: Friction and Lubricants Related to Human Bodies
Biolubrication plays a crucial role in assisting the sliding contacts in many organs in the human body. Notable examples are the joints, the skin surface, the eye, the mouth and gastrointestinal tract, the lungs and the red blood cells. In all cases, reduced lubrication leads to increased friction and adhesion between the surfaces in contact, which may lead to the surfaces becoming stuck and da...
